A non-profit youth organization promoting social service, helping the needy and bonding the youth with cultural activities. Originally started in the 1950’s.

St. Herman of Alaska Youth Org

An annual youth conference in memory of st. Herman of Alaska taking place in different locations on the East Coast. A 30 year tradition. This year it took place in Washington DC with over 200 participants.

St. Herman Youth Conference

A 5-day conference for youth (age 14 and older) held at a retreat center near a parish in our diocese. The location moves from year to year. The conference is generally held in the week following Western Christmas.

Walk for Life

A walking pilgrimage inspired by the Velikoretsky Procession of the Cross. The pilgrimage happens every Labor Day weekend and generally covers 20-30 miles in two days of walking. Vigil is served each night and Divine liturgy each morning. The patron of this event is St. Peter, metropolitan of Kiev and Moscow along with his Petrovskaya icon of the Mother of God. The Procession is held in rural areas, starting at a local parish or monastery and often involves camping.

Diocesan Youth Camp: ORPR

A month-long residential camp located in rural Illinois, an hour from Chicago.
